As president, I welcome you to Mu Theta At Large, Northern New Jersey Chapter of
Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI)
Honor Society of Nursing; it will certainly be a privilege of serving this chapter and its members during the next two
years with the assistance of our board and members.
Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society of Nursing is like a tapestry, each thread distinct yet intertwined
with its chapters to form a complete picture. If we stand too close, the image is lost and only the weave remains seen.
When a thread is left out, the pattern is flawed. As members of STTI it is up to us to bring the thread together and
continue to weave a nursing society that was started in 1922 when six nurses founded the organization.
The goals of Mu Theta At Large chapter is stated in STTI's 2020 vision statement "to create a global community of nurses
who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the world's people."
Throughout the year out members have access to a multitude of opportunities of learning experiences within our chapter,
other chapters and the ability to make a difference. Please consider sharing your time and talent with Mu Theta.
